What does a “chamber” do in a pressotherapy machine?

A pressotherapy device works via cuffs (leg cuffs, trouser cuff, arm cuffs, or abdominal cuff) filled with air chambers. These chambers are inflated and deflated one by one in a sequential motion that mimics natural lymphatic flow.

The more chambers, the smaller each segment of the cuff that is controlled separately. That means more precise, even pressure build-up — and more effective treatment.
